Intro

SPS for Linux (© by Hartmut Eilers) is a Integrated development environment ( IDE ) which can be used to write and test PLC like instruction list programs ( IL for short )under Linux or Windows. ( SPS4Linux/OpenSPS is a kind of PLC ) Using a simple hardware at the Printerport ( or a Dil/Net PC, IO-Warrior 40 or a 8255 PIO )and the program run_sps your PC acts as a real PLC.

Installation

unpack the archive with tar -xvf sps.tar . change into the the new generated directory sps and copy sps-e.doc to sps.doc. You can start the programm from this directory. First of all please read trough the documentation.

The sources are included, you need Free Pascal to compile it yourself. If you want to help or have any improvements your welcome. Up to version 1.7.0 the code may be used for uncommercial stuff, any later version is released under the GNU GPL.
